Why I Never Paint my Nails Feat Sally Hansen Nail Strips Review+Tips

So lately I noticed the whole world is catching up to the trend that I have been addicted to since they came out! I am soooo excited because they are honestly the best thing ever. Recently I received an influenster box and was beyond excited to see we had gotten a Sally Hansen Nail Strip. box. Reason being that most people assume they're just stickers and feel they wouldn't last so for them to receive them all for free gave them a chance to try them out and fall in love.

I hardly ever wear regular nail polish now. I don't know what it is about me but I cannot paint my nails correctly. They either come out streaky or bubbly. By slim chance, and I mean once in a million, I get my nails smooth enough for a photo shoot, I accidentally touch my hair and smear them!

Alright so now for the review! So application is extremely easy BUT, and this will explain some bad reviews on this, it takes practice! Application is easy but yes, it will take longer than 5 mins to do it your first time. But if your like me, who uses box after box, then you will be able to do it extremely quickly. I've used it so much I memorized which sizes work for my nail size so I easily pull them out first. So don't get discouraged if your first time takes a long time, it won't forever. If a size is too wide for your nail (rather than long which is obviously going to happen) you can still use the file to correct this although I find the wooden stick makes it easier to trace the edge of the nail first then to use the file. Either way it is not a problem if the strip is a little larger.

After they're on, the key to making these last almost 2 weeks is clear nail polish!! I have never ever ever skipped this step and you shouldn't either. I put three coats on and then every other day another coat if I remember. That way they last a loooooong time. One tip is that you should paint the outer edge of the nail, where they polish would chip the most, that will keep it from being able to be pushed up. Also place your nail strip as close to your cuticle, sometimes I miss and put it over the cuticle (oops :/), because it will last longer sine the strip grows out with your nail, kinda like acrylics. So the more nail covered the longer they will last. (I wouldn't recommend putting it over the cuticle like I sometimes do only because when the strip dries its hard like a cast, so when it grows out with your nail the bottom part is raised up because it was over the cuticle. Easier to chip and come up.)

Since they are so easy to do and last longer than most nail polishes without streaks I have officially transferred to Sally Hansen Nail strips forever! Try them out you won't be upset you did!
